There is no exact answer to this question because it depends on the type of bike, how often I use it and how far I ride on a single charge. But, the general rule of thumb is that if I will store your bike for an extended period, then charge it up before storing it. If I decided store your bike for a shorter period, then charging up after storing fine as well.

Also, Most people would say that charging a battery only when it fully discharged will help extend its life span. But this theory has been debunked by many experts who argue that I should charge my electric bike on a regular basis, but not all the way to 100%. As for the charging frequency, the first step is to check the owner’s manual for my specific bike. Some electric bikes have a light that will tell me about the battery fully charged. Others have an indicator on the battery itself. When you don’t have access to these resources, then there are some general guidelines that may be helpful. If I ride at least once per week, then it’s best to charge my  Ebike battery every two weeks or so. If I  ride occasionally, then charge my battery every month or two months. It depens on how many miles per day you typically ride.
